What is a Zero-Knowledge Proof?
Imagine you have a secret, like the location of a hidden treasure, and you want to prove to your friend that you know where it is without actually telling them the location or showing the treasure.
Here’s how you can do it:
The Story of the Magic Cave
There’s a magic cave with two entrances, Entrance A and Entrance B, and inside, there’s a door that only opens if you know the secret password. You tell your friend, “I know the password to open this door.” Your friend says, “Prove it, but don’t tell me the password!”
Here’s what you do:
- The Test: Your friend stands outside the cave and asks you to go in through either Entrance A or Entrance B.
